James S. Dorr

James S. Dorr is an active member in SFWA and HWA with 130 or so stories and novelettes in print. He is a past Anthony (mystery) and Darrell nominee, winner of the 1998 Best of the Web award, and has been listed in Honorable Mentions in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror eight of the past nine years.

Publications include Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine, New Mystery, Dark Regions, The Strand, Gothic.Net, Aboriginal SF and such anthologies as Darkside: Horror for the Next Millenium, Gothic Ghosts, New Mythos Legends, The Crow: Shattered Lives and Broken Dreams and The Best of Cemetery Dance. He has also been a technical writer, associate editor on a city magazine, full time nonfiction freelancer and a semi-professional musician.

A collection of some of Dorr's fiction and poetry, Strange Mistresses: Tales of Wonder and Romance, will be available later this spring from Dark Regions Press, while other work has appeared/should appear this year in the anthologies Children of Cthulhu, The Darker Side, Bloodtype (CD ROM), Bubbas of the Apocalypse, and Tales From the Teeth Park (Great Britain), as well as the print magazines Fantastic Stories and Carpe Noctem.
